Report April 06, 2026

I ran a marathon. Stopped for 3 years. Now I'm back with a plan.

In October 2022, I crossed the finish line of my first marathon. 42km. I thought I’d never stop running.

I stopped.

I spent 3 years away from running. No training, no races, no running shoes. Life happened and running was left for later.

Until November 2025.

The comeback

I came back slowly. Picked up training with a coaching team (Team Samuka Run), respecting my body and the time off. The first workouts hurt. The pace that used to be easy became a challenge.

But the feeling of running again — that didn’t change.

And this time, I came back with a different idea.

What is Tênis e Milhas

Running shoes. Travel miles. Simple as that.

The idea was born from something every runner knows: each race takes you to a different place. You travel to run, but you end up discovering the city, the food, the people. The race is the reason — the trip is what stays with you.

Tênis e Milhas documents all of that. Each race becomes a report. Each city becomes a travel guide. Each experience becomes content for anyone who wants to do the same.

Mandala Quest

In the running world, “mandala” is when you complete all stages of a race circuit. It’s a medal collection that, together, forms something bigger.

My first mandala is the Circuito Catarinense de Corridas de Rua 2026 — 5 half marathons across Santa Catarina, Brazil:

#RaceCityDate
1BC Half MarathonBalneário CamboriúApr 26
2Oakberry Floripa HalfFlorianópolisMay 03
3Chapecó Half MarathonChapecóAug 02
4Floripa International Marathon (21k)FlorianópolisAug 29
5Criciúma Marathon (21k)CriciúmaSep 27

Six months, five cities, five 21k starts. And a few extra races in between to keep the rhythm.

What you’ll find here

Travel guides — Where to stay, eat and what to do in each city. With price ranges ($, $$, $$$) so you can pick what fits your budget.

Race reports — How each race went, unfiltered. What worked, what didn’t, with real Garmin data: pace, heart rate, elevation.

Training — What I’m learning with my running coach. The real progress of someone coming back after 3 years off.

Gear — Honest reviews of what I use to run and create content.

What’s next

The Circuito Catarinense is the first mandala. Not the last.

  • Mega Finisher — race circuit across South America
  • Super Halfs — half marathons across Europe
  • Six Majors — Tokyo, Boston, London, Berlin, Chicago, New York. The final boss.

Each mandala is bigger than the last. Each one takes you further.

Follow along

If you run, travel, or are thinking about starting either — this content is for you.

I’m not an elite athlete. I’m a runner who crossed a marathon finish line, stopped, and is coming back. This time, with a camera in hand.
